Ramon Muntaner is Peralada's most celebrated son. A soldier and writer, born in the town in 1265, the chronicles of his life were to become a literary masterpiece. In 2015, to mark the 750th anniversary of his birth, we have created the Ramon Muntaner literary trail.
The aim of this guided visit is for readers to discover The Chronicle of Ramon Muntaner, by presenting this literary masterpiece in situ. Visitors are invited to read extracts from this great work and then discover the landscapes and spaces of Peralada, through the author's eyes.
