A journey through sacred music to the Montserrat School

In the first part, we trace a journey through European vocal music from the 12th to the 17th century, exploring the evolution of polyphony from the Ars Antiqua to the first fruits of the Baroque.

In the second part, we want to make known the richness of a musical school often little known outside of specialized circles: the Escola Montserratina. It is a school formed by monks from Montserrat that, from the 17th to the 20th century, has kept alive its own style, rooted in liturgy, polyphony and Catalan culture.
