Transhumant Film Festival 2026

The Transhumant Festival is coming to Peralada!

The festival's mission is to disseminate committed and humanitarian cinema that is not seen in the usual media and platforms to places and groups where it does not usually reach, especially small towns and people at risk of social exclusion.

It is a value proposition, a different, diverse cinema, with unconventional messages. Promotion and presentation of screenings and debate and reflection activities in unique and social spaces.

This year there will be a screening of short films from the Transhumant Festival 2026, the feature film "La réponse des Bergers" (The Shepherds' Response) and a subsequent discussion. Suitable for all audiences

Synopsis:
In the Ariège Pyrenees, the Garcias have been earning a living raising goats since the 70s. They pass on this experience to young people who are now becoming more independent, reconnecting with the tradition of summer pastures and want to start their cheesemaking project. Unfortunately, his vision of grazing will conflict with a demanding and regulatory administration.
