"Jo no em sexilio" exhibition
Photography
Sexilium is a social phenomenon that affects many people from the LGBTI+ community, who are forced to leave their place of origin in order to live freely. It is not a fully voluntary migration, but rather conditioned by the lack of references, social pressure, discrimination or fear of aggression.
With the aim of claiming the visibility and rights of LGBTI+ people, this traveling photographic exhibition focuses on a reality that is still little known: sexilium, that is, the obligation that many LGBTI+ people have to leave their environment in order to live freely according to their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Opening on September 18 at 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition will be on view until October 1
