Painting

The artists Brigitte Cailleau and Miquel Pallarès present their exhibition "Junts" (Together) in Peralada

Brigitte Cailleau, Painter, graduated in Fine Arts from Perpignan, was for years a trainer in plastic and applied arts before subsequently dedicating herself to art therapy in a psychiatric environment, not forgetting a public in professional reinsertion that she accompanied through numerous projects, also artistic. He also worked as a visual artist in the Department of National Education. In Paçà (Rosselló) he opened his studio to dedicate himself to painting and also to welcome people with whom he teaches painting classes. His numerous exhibitions have traveled between Northern and Southern Catalonia, and places such as Toulouse, Andorra, Ibiza or Hanover (Germany).

His work tries to explore scenes from reality, sometimes navigating the wave of surrealism. His interior landscapes are approached with an attentive, sometimes loving or nostalgic look at one's own life but with modesty. It is step by step that expresses a survival of memory and "these landscapes called "interiors" allow me to rewrite time.

Miquel Pallarès, plastic artist from Perpignan with a degree in Fine Arts, already obtained the Diploma National Supérieur d'Arts Plastiques in 1985.

From 1984 to 2024, he expresses himself artistically through installations and sculptures, sometimes monumental and in different places or institutions (Andorra, Palau Marc de Barcelona, Clinique du Château de Vernhes-Villemur sur Tarn, Troyes, etc.). In Paris, he presented several commissioned pieces of furniture/sculpture at the SAD (Salon des Arts Décoratifs). In Niger (Nigeria) he participates in the "Bivouac of the artists", which then involves a traveling exhibition of all the artistic productions (Andorra, Lausanne, Paris, Center Institut Français d'Afrique, etc.).

The transmission of knowledge and interpersonal skills will lead him to the position of teacher of Plastic Arts within national education. Pallarès is also an interior designer and architect with creations that respond to very specific and artistic commissions using the new techniques developed in his company over several years. From a combination and association of various supports (resin, metal, cardboard, paint) he has been working for years on the imprint, the trace, the memory.
